CREST is an online independent surf and style magazine started by Newport Beach teens for teens with an emphasis on beach culture, music, fashion, and art. For just over a year now, founders Courtney Garkani and Amanda Penna have worked eendlessly to provide an exciting forum for youth culture and artistry through showcases on various aspects of the site and their social media counterparts.

 

But why CREST? Crest is the highest point, or maxium value of a wave, and we want to provide viewers with just that, the maximum value. CREST is also an acronym for the five main sections of the site, CULTURE, RESOURCE, ENTERTAINMENT, STYLE, & TELL. The 5 sections feature variety of articles, photographs, videos, and various other mediums by over forty different teenage and young adult contributors. Although the site releases a surplus of articles on a specific date each month, much like an actual magazine, Crest is always continuously updated with new content to keep viewers always coming back for more.
